Named the Holy Trinity Church on the Hill (12, Bisericii Ortodoxe Street), it was built during 1795-1796, with the contribution of Romanian craftsmen and townspeople in Cluj, and with the support of the Greek and Macedonian merchants from Cluj and of the Romanian merchants from Brasov.
During the two world wars, the church served as the cathedral of the Diocese of Vad, Feleac and Cluj. The Liturgy Book from 1797 is worth mentioning among its various collections of valuable worship objects.
