Garbanotas Bosistas – Focus Lituania | Concert #TIFF2016

Garbanotas Bosistas (The Curly Bassist), o trupă de rock neo-psihedelic din Vilnius, Lituania, a cucerit deja publicul britanic, baltic și balcanic.
Inspirați de Queen, The Beatles și Led Zeppelin, cei patru membri au început prin a organiza concerte în curțile vecinilor de acasă, apoi au cântat în pădurile din Letonia, în cartierele de business din Estonia, au ajuns la festivaluri mari din Marea Britanie, au cucerit țara vikingilor și au traversat Balcanii, concertând în Cehia și Polonia.
În 2016, trupa a câștigat premiul pentru cea mai bună trupă alternativă la Premiile muzicii lituaniene M.A.M.A și a devenit prima trupă de indie lituaniană invitată să cânte la Tallinn Music Week.
Trupa vine la TIFF cu sprijinul Lithuanian Film Center. Evenimentul face parte din Focus Lituania la TIFF 2016

Garbanotas Bosistas (The Curly Bassist), a neo-psychedelic rock band from Vilnius, Lithuania, has already conquered the British, Baltic and Balkan public. Inspired by Queen, The Beatles and Led Zeppelin, the four members of the band started out by playing in their neighbors’ courtyards, then in the Lithuanian forests, followed by the business neighborhoods of Estonia, a series of important British music festivals, Viking land and finally, crossing the Balkans, Czech Republic and Poland.
In 2016, the band won the award for best alternative band at the M.A.M.A Lithuanian Music Awards and became the first Lithuanian indie band invited to perform during Tallinn Music Week.
The concert is part of this year’s special program dedicated to Lithuania, as guest country at TIFF 2016. Focus Lithuania is organized in partnership with the Lithuanian Film Center.
