The Mountain Club Carpati 29

The Mountain Club Carpati 29, with headquarter in Cluj-Napoca, has a Romanian legal, non-profit, non-working and non-governmental personality. It was founded in February 2006 at the initiative of 5 young students fond of mountains.

We wish to make the young generation fond of the environment’s values, of the mountains and of a life at heights.

The wish to help the others go on mountains represented the basis of the founding of this mountain club. Some have not discovered yet this pleasure to travel on mountain paths, preferring instead a comfortable place in front of the computer or others do not afford the necessary equipment for a climb. For all these reasons we want to buy the trekking equipment and to make it available for those who are interested.

In May 2009 we participated in a fair of extreme sport in Cluj-Napoca, which took place at the Students’ Cultural House. At this fair we had the opportunity to meet other similar organization and to share our experiences.
